Car camping has never been unusual for Roman Napieraj. After camping on the ground at racetracks for years, Roman knew there had to be an alternative to sleeping off the ground but for far less than the cost of a RV. One night when his allergies flared up, he threw a tarp over the bed of his pick up truck and slept in the back. When he awoke, he could not believe the amazing night sleep he had just had in the great outdoors. After conducting some research, he noticed a gap in the recreational industry between ground tents and expenses RVs. In 1990, Roman founded Napier Enterprises and launched the first Sportz Original Truck Tent.
